Pirates of the Caribbean Theme (He's a Pirate)
musictheatreharmony — Sat, 02/04/2012 - 04:59
This is a fun arrangement of a famous orchestral work, which is unexpected and exciting in an a cappella setting. Once the general feel of singing as instruments is understood, the notes are not difficult to learn or perform. It is especially fun to perform this with fun choreography (our performance included a boat formed by the singers, and a sword fight). It is also an opportunity for some cool drums in the vocal percussion section, but can be performed without percussion as well.
Bring Me to Life (Wake Me Up Inside)
musictheatreharmony — Sat, 02/04/2012 - 04:49
This is a BEAUTIFUL, powerful, emotional song that was our group's main piece this past season. The beginning of the arrangement is similar to the instrumentation on the original track, but it soon varies to sections of unexpected musical devices, sudden harmonies, and lots of clashing chords. The bridge features an almost choral sound with polyphonic rhythms and interesting individual parts, and then all cuts out for a powerful bell tone sequence! Overall, we LOVED rehearsing and performing this piece, and hope other groups will get to experience what we did!

Have A Little Faith In Me

This is a beautiful arrangement of this classic love song. Full of tender moments and powerful "goosebumps" moments.
